Is virtual therapy effective?

Yes — when treated like in-person therapy. Choose a private space, limit distractions, and avoid using substances during your session.

Are your services covered by insurance?

Psychological services are often covered by private insurance, but not by the Nova Scotia health card. Life coaching is typically not covered.

How long are appointments?

  • Therapy or coaching: 50 minutes
  • ADHD assessment: 1.5 hours interview + 30-minute feedback

What’s the difference between a psychologist and a life coach?

Psychologists are licensed mental health professionals. Therapy focuses on understanding, healing, and managing mental health conditions.
Life coaching focuses on achieving goals, gaining motivation, and building structure. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health concerns.

How do I know which service is right for me?

Choose therapy if you’re struggling with mental health, trauma, or emotional overwhelm.
Choose coaching if you're feeling stuck and want structure, motivation, and clarity for your next steps.

Are these services private and confidential?

Your privacy is our priority.
All sessions are confidential and protected under Canadian health privacy laws. We use the Jane App for secure video calls, documentation, and billing.
